The field of action of a graduate of the Licentiate in Theology program is the following:

  • Teacher in the area of theology and pedagogy in academic (universities, schools, etc.), ecclesial (seminaries, religious communities, parishes), and social settings.
  • Researcher and adviser of research projects in pedagogy, theology and interdisciplinary fields.
  • Manager of social projects focused on community development processes.
  • Catechist and trainer in the faith of ecclesial communities.

STRENGTHS OF THE PROGRAM

The Bachelor of Theology program stands out for having the following strengths:

  • Humanist training in relation to the institutional principles of the Santo Tomás University.
  • Pedagogical and theological training in accordance with current academic trends and in a Latin American perspective.
  • Research training in education, pedagogy and theology.
  • Curriculum that integrates the mandatory components (pedagogical, theological, investigative, humanistic, communication and ICT field) and flexible (deepening core and core of electives) around problematic cores.
  • Training in a second language “English” in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
  • 2 lines of deepening as a complement to the specific training in pedagogy and theology: Pedagogy of theology and the Church and Latin American education.
